President Mahama Appoints Eight-Member Committee to Plan National Education Forum

In the quest to advance and improve the education sector, President John Dramani Mahama as part of his election campaign, has appointed an eight-member committee to organize the National Education Forum.

The committee, chaired by the former Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Professor George K. T. Oduro, has a duration of two weeks to submit report and plan.

Other members include, Professor Rosemary Bosu, Professor Goski Alabi, Samuel Awuku ph.D, Professor Smile Dzisi, Kofi Asare, Inusah Shiraz, and Stephen Owusu.

The committee’s term of reference (TOR) include, developing a theme to guide stakeholder engagement, identifying key stakeholders in the education sector, and providing an activity schedule with time allocations.

The committee, will additionally set up a secretariat to document activities, propose a date and venue and prepare a budget for the forum.

Furthermore, the committee will develop a comprehensive report detailing the findings and recommendations of the forum and draft a national education policy framework within three weeks after the forum.
